Hayley was born in Australia, the place was quite beautiful, with much exposure of the ocean, it wasn't hard to make going to the beach a daily habit.
Hayley is an adoptive child of a couple, Bruce and Macy Willington. By the age of 13, the couple told her about being adopted. Shocking to hear, but it didn't to seem to bother her as much as the two would have though, of course, that's a good thing. Though from that day on, Hayley has referred to herself as Farrell, keeping her orignal last name. Aside from her being adopted, she wasn't an only child, she does have one sister, an older sister, present day, Hayley is 17 and her older sister, Cathleen, is 23.
When Hayley turned 17, her family went on a small trip of Hayley's choice. They went somewhere far off shore, a place known as Mako Island. This camping trip actually changed Hayley's life, forever. The night before they left, Hayley and Cathleen had went off to explore, without premission. They had fallen in a hole leading to a cave, well...the inside of a volcano. Clearly it wasn't ever going to errupt anything, it was pretty cold, the walls were of large rocks which felt wet, the ground, soft sand, and a small rounded pool right under the opening of the volcano. This small pool was connected to the ocean through a tunnel underwater. Hayley was first to get in, as she did, the full moon, more of an eclipse, had passed over the opening, shining an unusually line of bright light onto the water.
The next time she was to touch water, she'd turn into a Mermaid. Luckily she found out alone. However, because of an eclipse changing her...it granted immorality, and to have three powers over water. Freezing, Heating, and Controlling water, as well as Wind to the mix.
